From the recording Save the Whale/Sorteo

Save the Whale features Dee Dee Jones on vocals, Rick Andrews on synthesizer, me on guitars and vocals. I wrote this song in 1979 during the era of whale awareness in movies, the news, etc. I presented this song to the band and one night Rick and I decided the intro should have the sounds of rain and thunder, so we recorded the "waves" by putting the microphone outside during a thunderstorm.
Sorteo follows featuring Mike McManus on bass, Rick Andrews on keyboards, Charles Pittman on drums, and me on guitars.

Save the WhaleWords and Music by Calvin Luna BalliCopyright 2013 Calvin Balli MusicWatch your step,Or take a diveInto the Mystic sea.To save the whale,The peaceful oneWho struggles to be free. What can we doWhat can we sayWhat will we knowWhen there’s no more. One by one,And then there’s noneOur ways are still the same. What will it take,To realize we’re partnersIn this game. What can we doWhat can we sayWhat will we knowWhen there’s no more.
